MathsMate Equation Solvers and Units Converter is an Android application developed by ChemEng Software Design. The app is available for free in the Education & Reference category. It offers a wide range of mathematical information sheets and equation solvers for various fields of mathematics, including Geometry, Statics, Series, Proportional Lengths, Interest, Areas, and Volumes. Additionally, the app allows users to perform operations between square matrices, such as multiplication, addition, subtraction, and transpose. The app also provides a tool for solving linear equations using the Jacobi Iteration method.
The app is designed with a user-friendly tab-swipe layout and offers a simple web browser under the About/Help tab. Users can save, email, download, and reopen matrices. The Unit Conversion tool and sci-calculator are also included, making it a comprehensive mathematical tool for students, teachers, and professionals. However, it is worth noting that the linear solvers using the Jacobi method require users to set initial variable estimates and the number of iterations. On display of the results, an error value is also shown next to the variable value. The error is the difference between the displayed and previous variable value, and a smaller error value indicates a more accurate result.
